Bespoke Suits
1. Fabrics
For true bespoke suits, material sophistication is of utmost importance. Milimetric features the best fabrics well-known all over the world. Our prominent suppliers are Loro Piana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Holland and Sherry, Solbiati, Ariston and Dormeuil. Among thousands of different fabrics to choose from, we will use years of experience to guide you to the right cloth in terms of how they drape and wear. From the feather light Italian cashmere, wools and linens, to the traditional English worsteds and tweeds, we cater for everybody’s personal preference and tastes. A vast selection of colours and patterns (checks, stripes, tartans and many more), the finest fabrics are offered to bespoke clients at our Milimetric store.
Along with the fabrics, the other components in the making of bespoke suits such as lining, interlining and buttons are also crucial. For lining we use cupro bemberg which is breathable, light, durable and with a silky touch that looks and feels great. We have a wide range of buttons in terms of colours and materials such as mother of pearl, horn, corozo etc.
2. Fittings and manufacturing
Highly skilled and experienced Milimetric tailors will guide you through the process of selecting the most appropriate cloth, cut, and style along with the buttons and lining. In the meantime, clients have the opportunity to dictate every fundamental detail of their garment’s architecture depending on their exact requirements.
Achieving a bespoke fit requires 3 fittings during the creation of your suit. Each fitting builds on top of the last to achieve a more precise and perfect suit. This is where bespoke tailoring in İstanbul differs, as the tailor will measure and take notes on your stance, build, and posture. Finally, a new pattern is created just for you catering to every nuance of your body shape. Simply, we shape the fabric of your body. Your suit will be your second skin in which to feel supremely comfortable. Every stage of production is delicately handcrafted to guarantee impeccable quality. Buying a bespoke tailored suit is the ultimate clothing experience. It is the peak of sartorial precision.
The delivery of a bespoke Milimetric suit in İstanbul takes around 3-4 weeks depending on the season and on the customer’s availability for fittings.
